INDIA, Gupta Empire. First Dynasty. Chandragupta I. Circa AD 320-335. AV Dinar (7.74 g, 12h). Archer type. Chandragupta standing left, holding arrow and bow at top; Garuda standard to left / Lakshmi seated facing on lotus, holding diadem and lotus; tamgha to left. BMC Guptas -; Alketar class II, variety G, 17 = Bayana class II, variety D, 981 (same obv. die). VF, a few minor flan cracks. Very rare, four examples recorded, all from the Bayana Hoard.
