Victorinus. Romano-Gallic Emperor, AD 269-271. Antoninianus (3.40 g, 6h). Treveri (Trier) mint. 3rd emission, AD 269-270. Radiate and cuirassed bust left, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with the facing head of Medusa / Pietas, veiled, standing left, sacrificing over altar and holding box of perfumes. RIC V -; Mairat -; AGK 16b. Good VF, brown patina. Rare bust type. CoinArchives records only three examples. This specimen shows better shield decoration than any of those.
