Crispus. Caesar, AD 316-326. Æ Follis (2.85 g, 12h). Treveri (Trier) mint, 1st officina. Struck AD 323. IVL CRIS-PVS NOB C, half-length bust left, wearing ornate crested helmet and cuirass decorated with facing head of Medusa, holding in right hand, Victory standing right on globe, who bears wreath in raised right hand, and at left shoulder, a shield decorated with two soldiers standing right, spearing fallen captive seated right / BEATA TRAN-QVILLITAS, altar inscribed VO/TIS/XX in three lines surmounted by globe; three stars above, •PTR˘ in exergue. RIC VII -; LRBC -. EF, underlying silvering, hairline flan crack. Unpublished half-length bust left with Medusa on cuirass and two soldiers and captive on shield.
