Theophilus. 829-842. Æ Follis (3.12 g, 6h). Syracuse mint. Struck 830/1-842. Crowned facing bust, wearing chlamys, holding globus cruciger / Large M; cross above, X/X/X to left, N/N/N to right, Θ below. DOC 30; Anastasi 548; Spahr 431; SB 1681. VF, dark green-brown patina, some earthen deposits. Overstruck on a follis of Michael II (SB 1652).
