GERMANY, Nürnberg (Stadt). 1814. AR Steckmedaille. Victory of the Allies over Napoleon. Johann Thomas Stettner, medallist. Busts of Franz I of Austria, Alexander I of Russia, and Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia;
Stettner. fec: Nbg: below / Germania standing right, helmeted with radiate dove, holding oak-wreathed staff and shield; St below. Medal is hollow, with a strip of twelve two-sided roundels within, six of hand-colored lithographed battle scenes, six of text, all related to the expulsion of the French army from Russia and Germany in 1814. Förschner 35; cf. Preßler 38 (in tin). VF, a few light field marks. Rare with the strip of roundels in perfect condition.
