Although a direct parallel to the silver issues is not apparent, the overtly Celtic obverse type would place this issue contemporary with the coins of De Jersey, Silver, group A, which also exhibit obvious Celtic types. Also, the reverse type has strong parallels with the coins of Tasciovanus, which also suggests this issue is from among the earliest bronze issues of Cunobelin (see D.F. Allen, “Celtic coins from the Romano-British Temple at Harlow, Essex” in BNJ XXXIII (1964), p. 3).
