Greenstone head. Levant(?), 2nd millennium BC. Stylized head with drilled eyes and ears, representing Baal(?). Channels drilled through top and bottom of figure, but they apparently do not line up. Putty placed in bottom channel to receive metal bar for mounting on lucite base. Height (without base): 2.5 cm. Minor earthen deposits. A crudely designed, yet charming, piece.
