Terracotta amulet. Greek, South Italian or Sicilan, 4th-3rd centuries BC. Unglazed white terracotta molded amulet with a gorgoneion with protruding tongue. On the reverse a finely rendered oval potter's stamp, showing a hound and boar running right. Two holes for attachment. Diameter: 7.0 cm. Some encrustation. Possibly a modern reproduction. LOT SOLD AS IS, NO RETURNS.
