SIKYONIA, Sikyon. Circa 431-400 BC. AR Stater (12.09 g, 5h). Chimaera standing left, raising forepaw; ΣE below / Dove flying left within wreath. BCD Peloponnesos 186; SNG Lockett 2321 (this coin). VF, toned. Rare.

The neck of the goat’s head on the back of the Chimaera was apparently removed from the coin after striking (light marks are visible under the toning).
