ARKADIA, Tegea. Circa 50-25 BC. Æ Hexachalkon or hemiobol (4.76 g, 5h). Head of Aleos right, wearing tainia / Kepheos standing right, holding spear and shield, extending hand to Athena, standing left, holding spear and lock of Medusa’s hair; between, monogram above and below Sterope standing right, holding up vessel to receive the lock. BCD Peloponnesos 1749. Near VF, dark green patina, weakly struck.
