ARCADIA, Megalopolis. Geta. As Caesar, AD 198-209. Æ Assarion (3.96 g, 7h). ΛOV CEΠT ΓE [TAC ...], bare-headed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / MEΓAΛO[ΠO ΛEITΩN], uncertain male figure standing left, holding spear and fold of chlamys draped over arm. Cf. BCD Peloponnesos 1571.2 (for rev. type on Septimius Severus); cf. NCP p. 1104 and pl. V, II. Fair, green patina, a little rough. Unpublished in the standard references, an apparently unique reverse type for this mint and person.
