KINGS of SKYTHIA. Kanites. 3rd-2nd centuries BC. Æ 24mm (9.41 g, 12h). Aris-, magistrate. Jugated draped and wreathed busts of Demeter and Persephone / Grain ear between two torches. Cf. Canarache 10; SNG BM Black Sea -; cf. SNG Stancomb 313 (same obv. die; questionable reading of the rev. legend). Near VF, some smoothing and tooling (particularly, the ‘K’ in Kanites has been reworked into an ‘E’). Rare.
