CELTIC, Eastern Europe. Imitations of Lysimachos of Thrace. Early-mid 3rd century BC. Æ 17mm (3.10 g, 6h). Helmeted head of Athena right / Lion advancing right; spearhead below. Cf. Müller 61-2 for prototype. VF, dark green patina.

Although coins of this type are fairly common, and are widely thought to be the products of the Gauls who invaded Thrace after the death of Lysimachos, none of the standard Celtic coin references includes them.
