CELTIC, Eastern Europe. Uncertain. Æ 20mm (4.96 g, 10h). Laureate head right / Nike standing left (on prow?), holding [wreath?] and stylis; monogram to inner left. Apparently unpublished. VF, dark green patina.

From the Dr. William F. Blank Collection.

While this type has a resemblance to the staters of Asander of Bosporos, those issues feature a diademed head on the obverse, and Nike holds a palm. Also, the monogram here is a distinctive type not found on Asander’s coins, but is very commonly found on staters of Alexander from Miletos. It is more likely that those issues of Alexander are the prototypes for the reverse of this issue. The laureate head on the obverse, however is not distinctive enough to definitively attribute to a particular issue.
