LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 470-440 BC. AR Nomos (7.91 g, 12h). Barley ear of six grains / Incuse barley ear of six grains. Cf. Noe 244; HN Italy 1484. Fine, toned. Overstruck on an Akragas Didrachm, the obverse exhibits AK on left and traces of the eagle on right. The reverse clearly shows a crab. Very rare as such.
