LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 430-400 BC. AR Nomos (7.98 g, 12h). Head of Demeter right, wearing fillet / Barley ear of eight grains with leaf to left and right. Noe 389 (same dies); HN Italy 1507. VF, lightly toned, struck with worn obverse die. An interesting portrait and a very unusual reverse die. Rare, Noe records 2 examples.
