LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. AR Nomos (7.83 g, 4h). Wreathed head of Demeter left / Barley ear of seven grains with leaf to left; ΛY and caduceus to right. Johnston Class A, 1.7 (this coin referenced and illustrated); HN Italy 1556. VF, attractive cabinet toning, minor die rust. The only known example from these dies, Very rare.
