CARTHAGE, Libyan Revolt. Circa 241-238 BC. BI Shekel (7.94 g, 11h). Head of Herakles left, wearing lion skin / Lion right; Punic mem above, ΛIBYΩИ below. Carradice & La Niece 1 var. (ethnic); MAA 53; SNG Copenhagen 239; E.S.G. Robinson, “A Hoard of Coins of the Libyans” in NC 1953, 25 (this coin, illustrated). Good VF, toned, minor area of weak strike, a little die rust on obverse. Excellent surfaces.
