BOEOTIA, Thebes. Circa 405-395 BC. AR Stater (12.02 g). Boeotian shield / Facing head of bearded Dionysos facing slightly right, wearing ivy wreath; Θ-E across lower field; all within concave incuse. BCD Boiotia 457 (same rev. die); Myron pl. Γ, 5 (same dies); SNG Copenhagen -; Jameson 1164 (same rev. die); Gillet 903 (this coin). Good VF, toned, die breaks on reverse. Very rare.
