KINGS of ARMENIA. Tigranes II ‘the Great’. 95-56 BC. Æ Half Chalkous (4.41 g, 12h). Maskos (Damaskos) mint. Struck 72-70 BC. Draped bust right, wearing five-pointed Armenian tiara decorated with star and eagle / Tyche of Damaskos standing facing, head left, holding cornucopia and tiller; uncertain letters or monogram to outer left. Nercessian, Tigranes 8-9; M&D 20-1; CAA 112-3; AC 62-3. VF, brown surfaces, minor roughness.
