NABATAEA. Aretas IV, with Shaqilat. 9 BC-AD 40. AR Drachm (5.19 g, 12h). Petra mint. Dated RY 28 (AD 19/20). Laureate and draped bust of Aretas right / Veiled and draped bust of Shaqilat right. Meshorer, Nabataea 98 var. (Aramaic semkath to right on reverse); Schmitt-Korte II 72. Good VF, minor flan flaw on reverse. Exceptionally fine portrait of Aretas.
