SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch. Pseudo-autonomous issue. 50-7 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.54 g, 1h). Posthumous Philip I Philadelphos type. Dated Caesarian Era 3 (47/6 BC). Diademed head of Philip right / Zeus Nikephoros seated left; ANTIOXEΩN monogram to inner left, monogram below throne, Γ set on pair of wings in exergue. RPC 4127; McAlee 4/2 (same obv. die); Prieur 4. VF, darkly toned with traces of earthen encrustation in devices, minor flan flaw on cheek of portrait. Very rare issue struck when Julius Caesar visited the city.
