NORMAN. William II Rufus. 1087-1100. AR Penny (1.37 g, 12h). Voided cross type (BMC III). London mint; Wulfnoth, moneyer. Struck circa 1092-1095. +PILLEL(M R)EI, crowned facing bust; stars flanking / +PVLNOÐ O(N L)[...], voided cross pattée with central annulet over cross annulettée. SCBI -; cf. BMC 207; EMC -; North 853; SCBC 1260. Good VF, toned, a few flat spots. Great metal. Very rare.
