Ex Davissons 17 (26 June 2002), lot 24.
This coin has an interesting double strike that is visible only in the legend. It appears that after the coin was initially struck, the flan rotated slightly, and then it was struck again, but only slightly along one edge, so that only the legends were affected. The effect is most obvious on the reverse, where, after the initial TVΛ there is TVA SAL of the overtype, and then the undertype legend returns at nOS. An interesting mint error.
