ACHAIA, Patrai. Circa 31 BC. AR Hemidrachm (16mm, 2.23 g, 10h). Agys Aischrionos, magistrate. Laureate head of Zeus right / AΓVC/ AI-CXPI/ωNOC around ΠA monogram, all within elaborately bound laurel wreath with ties above and two rostra below. BCD Peloponnesos 533. VF, toned. Fine style.

This issue was probably struck late in 31 BC, after Octavian’s forces had taken Patrai from Antony and Cleopatra.
