Jovian. AD 363-364. AR Light Miliarense (4.00 g, 6h). Arelate (Arles) mint, 3rd officina. D N IOVIAN VS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / RESTITV TOR REIP, Jovian, diademed and wearing military outfit, standing facing, head right, holding labarum in right hand and Victory, standing right on globe and presenting him with wreath, in outstretched left; TCONST. RIC VIII 328 (no example listed for the 3rd officina); Ferrando 1288 (same); RSC 7† (same). VF, lightly toned, small hairline flan crack near shoulder of bust, a few light marks, trace of porosity. Extremely rare. RIC cites only two specimens known, both of which are of the first officina.
