Boeotian shield / Amphora; above, barley grain right; FA-ΣT across central field; all within concave circle. BCD Boiotia 494-5; Hepworth 36; Myron Hoard pl. Δ, 8-10; SNG Copenhagen 319-20. Good VF, lustrous.


Wastias was the pro-Spartan rival of Androkleidas and was instrumental in the latter's exile and assasination (see below, note to lot 1178).
