Silenos seated sidesaddle on an ass walking left, holding kantharos in right hand, thyrsos in left; three pellets around / NAKONAION, head of a nymph right, wearing single-pendant earring and necklace, hair bound with fillet wrapped around four times. SNG ANS 512; Calciati I pg. 325, 1; BMC Sicily pg. 117, 1; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG Morcom -; Laffaille 186; Virzi 1281-1285. Near EF, dark green patina, some light field marks, slight trace of double striking on the reverse, perfectly centered. One of the finest known. ($750)
