This klippe commemorates the marriage of Erdmuthe Sophie, daughter of Johann Georg II, to Christian Ernst, Margrave of Brandenburg-Bayreuth in 1662. Erdmuthe Sophie died just eight years later. Because the marriage produced no children, the lines of Brandenburg-Bayreuth and Saxony remained separate.
