LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 340-330 BC. AR Nomos (7.79 gm). Helmeted head of Leukippos right; AMI behind / MET[A] upwards on left, seven-grained barley ear; leaf to right, thunderbolt above leaf. Johnston Class B, 4.4 (same dies). Toned EF, flat strike in centers. Much rarer than the type with the lion behind Leukippos' head. ($750)
