SYRIA, Decapolis. Gadara. Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. Æ 22mm (10.74 g, 11h). Dated CY 225 (AD 161/2). Laureate head right, slight drapery around shoulders / Tyche standing right, holding scepter and cornucopia, on river-god swimming right; to left, small figure standing facing on short column, with hand raised; to right, Nike standing left on taller column, crowning Tyche; all within distyle shrine; ЄKC (date) downward to outer right. Spijkerman 44; SNG ANS -; Rosenberger 48 (same dies). Good VF, attractive greyish-green patina with earthen highlights. Choice for issue.
