Anonymous. Circa 225-214 BC. AR Didrachm – Quadrigatus (22mm, 6.87 g, 12h). Uncertain mint. Laureate head of Janus, with curved truncation / Jupiter, holding thunderbolt and scepter, standing right in quadriga driven right by Victory holding reins; in exergue, ROMA in incuse on raised tablet. Crawford 29/3; Sydenham 64e; RSC 23. Good VF, attractive light gray cabinet toning, a tiny flan flaw on the bottom of the reverse. Very rare.
