CRETE, Kydonia. Circa 2nd-1st Century BC. AR Tetradrachm (13.74 gm). P[A]S[I]W[N], head of Artemis right, bow and quiver at shoulder / KU-DW/NIA-TA/N, ethnic in three lines across fields, Diktynna standing facing, head turned left, with torch in left hand, hound at feet; all within laurel wreath. Svoronos 59; SNG Copenhagen 416; BMC Crete pg. 30, 22. Toned, good VF, some roughness on both sides, some minor smoothing in fields. Rare. ($1500)
