BOEOTIA, Thebes. Circa 395-338 BC. Fourrée AR Stater (21mm, 9.98 g). Charo-, magistrate. Struck circa 379-368 BC. Boeotian shield / Amphora; (archaic X)A-RO across field; all within concave circle. Cf. Hepworth 93-6 (for coins of this magistrate); cf. BCD Boiotia 508-11 (same). VF, three breaks in silver, revealing copper core, minor marks. Rare without ivy or laurel wreath above or beside amphora.
