MESOPOTAMIA, Adiabene. Natounia. Late 2nd-early/mid 1st century BC. Æ (19mm, 5.53 g, 1h). Radiate head (Helios-Shamash?) right / Camel standing left within wreath. Hoover, Natounia, Series 2, 4 (this coin cited and illustrated); Houghton 847-8; Seyrig, Trésor 14; cf. SC 2300 and 2307-8 (for undertype). Fine, rough brown surfaces, orange earthen deposits. Overstruck on an issue of Antiochos VIII of Syria. Very rare.
