Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ Sestertius (33mm, 20.47 g, 12h). Rome mint, 5th officina. 8th emission, AD 240. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Apollo seated left, holding olive branch and leaning on lyre on back of throne. RIC IV 301a; Banti 70. Good VF, dark brown patina, some red, mostly on obverse. Struck on a broad flan.
