The throne style of this issue does not appear to match those given in King’s article, as this example may in fact feature an unfinished cuirass or even a poor attempt at a curule chair, both of which would feature a ‘narrowing’ near the middle or a somewhat hourglass appearance. Though the reading of the mintmark in the exergue is limited due to the position of the striking with regard to the flan, the serifs on the high points of the letters match most closely with the SMLD of Lugdunum.
