Terracotta Mug. Boeotian, Late Classical Period, circa mid 4th century BC. Black-glazed, single-handled mug with detailed rippled belly and smooth neck. Loop handle attached just below the rim to the shoulder. Height: 3.8cm. Ulrich Gehrig, Antiken aus Berliner Privatbesitz (Berlin: Antikenmuseum Berlin, 1975), 251 (this piece). Exhibited at the Antikenmuseum Berlin from December 1975 to February 1976. Small fragment of the neck reattached, tiny chip of the rim restored. Overall fine preservation of the glaze. Rare.
