Iron Key with Bronze Lion Handle. Roman, 1st-3rd centuries. Tumbler lock key with handle in the form of a roaring seated lion, with mane composed of thick locks, its tail flung over body. Overall length: 11.9cm. Iron key corroded, but heavy and impressive handle nicely preserved.
