M ANT GORÐIANOC AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right, drapery on left shoulder / Herakles and the mares of Diomedes: MATPOC APOIKWN POLIWN, HPAKLEWT/AN in exergue, Herakles standing right, nude but for lion's skin over his shoulders, preparing to strike one of the mares of Diomedes with his club in his right hand. Cf. Waddington, Recueil 135; Babelon, Waddington Collection -; cf. Voegtli 5d-g, 12l-m; Cornell 99 (this coin). VF, dark brown patina, fields smoothed. Extremely Rare. ($2500)
