AVK MAN GOPÐIANOC CE, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right / AFR-O-D-EI, CIEWN, cult-statue of Aphrodite right on plinth between small figure of priestess(?) and low altar with conical cover(?); on either side, cippus surmounted by Eros, poised on one leg, holding torch toward cult statue. MacDonald Type 180 (dies O229/R418); Hunterian 4; BMC Caria pg. 46, 126; Cornell 105 (this coin). VF, dark brown patina with earthen highlights. ($750)
