CARIA, Stratonicea. Lot of two coins, both with the portrait of Geta erased: Septimius Severus and Geta. 198-211 AD. Æ 36mm (29.36 gm). Confronted busts of Severus and Geta, the portrait and name of Geta erased; c/m: laureate bust of Caracalla right / Hekate by altar; magistrates Julia Domna (?) and Hierokles B. Cf. SNG von Aulock 2678 for type; cf. BMC Caria pg.159, 70 for magistrates; Howgego 84. VF, black patina // Caracalla and Geta. 211-212 AD. Æ 39mm (25.38 gm). Confronted busts of Caracalla and Geta, the portrait and name of Geta erased; c/m: laureate bust of Caracalla right / Horseman (Zeus Panamaros) before altar; magistrate Zosimos. SNG von Aulock 2682 (same obverse die); Howgego 84. See von Aulock 2685 for an example with Geta's portrait erased. Fine, gray-black patina, overstruck.
