The issues of the moneyers Q. Voconius Vitulus and Ti. Sempronius Gracchus have the distinction of being the last coins struck under the authority of Roman moneyers, a tradition that stretched back over two and a half centuries. Only briefly under Augustus was the office temporarily resumed, but it did not extend beyond his reign.
