PROBV-S P F AVG, laureate and cuirassed bust right / FIDES MILITV[M], fides standing facing, head left, holding military standard in each hand. Gnecchi pl. 157, 8 (this medallion); Toynbee pg. 35, note 76 (this medallion). VF, brown patina. Extremely rare, only three examples known. ($1000)

According to Toynbee, this appears to be a trial strike or pattern of a unique gold medallion (Gnecchi pl. 3, 17).
