Severus Alexander. AD 222-235. Æ Sestertius (30mm, 24.25 g, 11h). Rome mint. 6th emission, AD 226. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Annona standing left, holding grain ears and cornucopia; at left, modius with grain ears set on ground. RIC IV 548 var. (not cuirassed); BMCRE 346; Banti 7 var. (same). Good VF, dark red-brown patina, traces of deposits. Very rare. This bust type unlisted in RIC and Banti for this reverse type. Only one example in the British Museum Collection.
