CALABRIA, Tarentum. Circa 470-465 BC. AR Nomos (17mm, 7.41 g, 11h). Phalanthos riding dolphin right; cockle shell below / Head of Satyra left within circular border; all in shallow incuse circle. Fischer-Bossert group 5, 96e (V49/R64 – this coin, illustrated); Vlasto 141 (same obv. die); HN Italy 838; Jameson 91 (same dies); Berlin 69 (same dies). Good VF, toned, a little porosity. Attractive early style.
