ILLYRO-PAEONIAN REGION, Damastion (Dardania). Circa 395-385 BC. AR Tetrobol (12mm, 2.26 g, 8h). Herakleidas, magistrate. Laureate head of Apollo left / Tripod on base; knife to left, HPAKΛ-EIΔO inscribed on base and to right. May, Damastion p. 103, 8 (this coin, illustrated); SNG Copenhagen -; BMC -; SNG Ashmolean -. Good VF, lovely old cabinet toning with underlying iridescence. Very rare denomination, unique for this issue.
