TROAS, Abydos. Circa 200-180 BC. AR Drachm (20mm, 4.10 g, 11h). In the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; in exergue, eagle standing right within A-BY. Cf. H.B. Mattingly, “The Ma'aret en-Num'an Hoard” in Essays Carson-Jenkins, 461 (tetradrachm). VF, bright surfaces. Unpublished as a drachm. Apparently unique.
