MACEDON, Stobi. Caracalla. AD 198-217. Æ (23mm, 6.11 g, 1h). Laureate and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / ‘The Abduction of Persephone’: Hades in galloping quadriga right, carrying off struggling Persephone. AMNG III 12 var. (bust seen from front); Varbanov 4052 (same dies as illustrated specimen). Good VF, dark green patina with a few spots of red, very minor roughness.
