Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX. 1282-1328. AV Hyperpyron (26mm, 3.95 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Struck circa 1294-1303. Half-length figure of the the Theotokos (Virgin Mary), orans, within city walls with six towers; flanked by uncertain sigla / Christ standing facing, crowning Andronicus II and Andronicus III kneeling to either side. Cf. DOC 235-61; SB 2396. Fine, clipped.
